Hours Requirement Per Year*

Young Men:

  • Each young man is required to complete 10 direct service hours and 8 league hours for a total of 18 hours per year
  • Direct service hours are philanthropic hours earned in any activity where the young men are providing volunteer service to either an NLYM, Inc. sponsored service event or to any qualified (typically a 501(c)3) organization, school, church or community based group.
  • League hours are earned by the young men attending 3 of 5 grade level meetings per year and a group cultural event.
        * For counting service hours, the year is defined as May 1 through April 30

  • Mothers are expected to attend 3 out of 5 meetings per year (May 1 through April 30) to support their sons, and receive the benefit of the group interaction and guest speakers.
  • Mothers are also required to serve either on one league committee or on the Chapter Board per year (May 1 through April 30)
